We are seeking a highly skilled Global Investment Banking Specialist to join our team in the Emerging Markets department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in business development, structuring, and processing projects in the region.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate or project financing, including investment banking, commercial banking, private equity, equity research, or business consulting. You will have excellent Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills to build succinct and convincing analyses and presentations.
In this role, you will participate in all aspects of IFC's investment processing cycle from business development/deal origination, deal execution (due diligence, investment committee presentation preparation, term sheet and legal agreement negotiation, etc.), disbursement, and portfolio monitoring.
You will utilize research tools effectively to conduct in-depth benchmarking analysis by sectors, companies, and geographies. Additionally, you will analyze financial statements and prepare financial models.
Your responsibilities will include preparing project-related documents for internal and external audiences, preparing notes/reports on relevant investment themes, events, and breaking news, establishing and maintaining relationships with existing clients, and undertaking portfolio supervision work.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English, and fluency in other languages (e.g., Spanish and Portuguese) is a plus.
