Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Massage Therapist/Esthetician to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our spa team, you will provide exceptional massage and body treatment services to our guests, ensuring their comfort and relaxation throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide massage services to guests using a variety of techniques and modalities, including props and products.
  • Offer body treatments, such as scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy, to promote relaxation and rejuvenation.
  • Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications, such as allergies or high blood pressure, before beginning service.
  • Stay up-to-date with current techniques and modalities related to your field of work, ensuring you provide the best possible service to our guests.
  • Escort guests to and from treatment rooms, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their stay.
  • Arrange workstations, treatment rooms, and drapes to create a relaxing and inviting atmosphere.
  • Check with guests frequently to promote comfort, safety, and security throughout service.
  • Promote and sell spa and salon services, including retail offerings related to the spa.
  • Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for our guests.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of workstations and treatment rooms throughout your shift, disposing of trash and dirty linens, and securing supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
  • Monitor and stick to time schedules throughout the day, ensuring efficient service delivery.
  • Handle inappropriate guest behavior in accordance with Marriott International's standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain current skills and licensure in your service area, as required by regional regulations.

Requirements

  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to your manager.
  • Complete safety training and certifications, as required.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language, developing and maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by your supervisors.
