Iron Mountain, a global leader in storage and information management services, seeks an experienced Commercial Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and business development across its emerging portfolio of technology products and services.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will lead the sales team to deliver on revenue and growth goals, managing Large Accounts Key Account Managers (KAMs) and Mid & Small Market Inside Sales. This role requires a strong understanding of customer needs, market trends, and competitor offerings.
This individual will be responsible for developing and delivering a commercialization strategy to drive revenue and business growth. They will manage the sales team to achieve sales targets, market share, and new logos. The role also involves leading and mentoring a multifunctional sales team, collaborating with Product Management and Marketing to accomplish key objectives, and partnering with Pricing/Revenue Management to develop a data-driven strategic pricing framework.
The Commercial Sales Manager will work closely with external third parties to leverage partnerships and monitor and respond to market and competitive developments. They will maintain contact with key customers directly and through sales, customer care, engineers, and partners to understand their needs and levels of satisfaction with Iron Mountain's products.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a commercialization strategy to drive revenue and business growth
- Lead the sales team to achieve sales targets, market share, and new logos
- Manage the sales team to ensure group targets are achieved
- Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing to accomplish key objectives
- Partner with Pricing/Revenue Management to develop a data-driven strategic pricing framework
- Work with external third parties to leverage partnerships
- Monitor and respond to market and competitive developments
- Maintain contact with key customers directly and through sales, customer care, engineers, and partners
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- 10+ years' experience as a sales leader in a data-driven business or SaaS company
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with MBA preferred
- Strong attention to data and sales tracking
- Experience interpreting market trends, customer needs, and various delivery models
- Proven change agent and strong strategic thinker
- Proven experience driving operational excellence and delivering results
- Successful track record managing multiple parallel work streams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Highly effective leader with previous success creating, establishing, and integrating high-performing sales teams
