**About the Role**:
The purpose of this role is to provide leadership and direction for the execution, commissioning and Start up phase of a Major Project to deliver the approved business objectives, identify and manage project related Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) risk within the constraints of scope, time, quality and budget.

Main Functions and Accountabilities:
Directs and project manages the execution phase of 5YP Major Capital Project.
Execute Major Projects in a sustainable manner according to BHP's charter of values, without any accident.
Manage the execution of a Project with ~500MUSD$ in the 5YP.
Manage the contractor's resources with decisions and contractual agreements.
Negociate millionaire claims against the company.
Must permanently negotiate with the companies, as a result of ground interference, scope changes or new scopes.
Is the representative of the Project before BHP / Assets / Authorities.
Directs and project manages the Commissioning phase and Support operationes during Ramp-up phase.
Leads in the management of the execution schedule, cost and scope to deliver the project’s scope of work in accordance with the Projects approved business case.
Develop and activate contingency plans and risk control on a permanent basis.
Leads the integration of inputs from contributing Functions and manages trade-offs for preserving value.
Drives best value decision-making to ensure the project moves forward, minimising delays and setbacks in the drive to attain project KPI’s.
Monitors the delivery of the project to ensure that deviations from the execution plan are adequately managed and communicated and rectified.
Leads performance management of Project Delivery performed by 3rd parties within the project (Contractors and External stakeholders).
Manages project execution in compliance with both internal and external governance processes and our requirements.
Leads the identification and management of project risks, communicating risks to relevant stakeholders and identifying solutions.
Leads stakeholder engagement and ensures stakeholders are aligned throughout the course of the execution phase through timely communication.
Drives implementation of project delivery processes, strategies, systems and execution plans.

**About You**:
University commercial or engineering degree.
10+ years’ experience in industry.
8+ years’ experience in management areas.
Experience in project´ owners team
Proven safety management skills.
Proven change management skills.
Experience in work with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
English and Spanish written and spoken.
