**Role Overview**
The _Director, International Logistics Procurement - Global_ is a key leadership role within the Global Procurement organization for the Logistics category, and reports into Facilities, Capital & Logistics Procurement. The role leads Procurement for International Freight, and develops the global logistics and distribution strategy, progressing this into implementation worldwide.
**In this role you will **
be responsible for Logistics Procurement, owning the strategy for key components of a global logistics and warehousing annual spend of £500m. The role interacts with senior stakeholders in Supply Chain and directly covers the spend on global logistics for air, ocean, and ground services. You will directly own and manage Haleon’s 4PL commercial relationships and define the commercial strategy for engaging further logistics partners, both global and domestic. To be successful, you will:
- Build and deliver a Procurement strategy across functions or business units that delivers the highest quality service and supply while significantly impacting cost savings across business units or supply network.
- Plan and lead high value, long-term, complex negotiations in areas of spend that significantly impacts the success or failure of a Haleon business unit.
- Act as a strong business partner to your customer groups to deliver relevant strategic procurement solutions.
- Partner with Business Units, Global Logistics and other Haleon stakeholders to performance manage our logistics suppliers to deliver the required levels of service.
- Utilise extensive external supplier and market knowledge to define the supply chain strategy and drive innovation.
**Key Responsibilities**
Strategy creation & execution:
- Create or contribute to comprehensive global and regional sourcing strategies for Logistics, Warehousing, and Customs Brokerage spend categories, operating with a strategic mindset and in close collaboration and alignment with the Global Category Leader or Cross Business Unit Category Leaders. This will include owning Haleon’s 4PL strategies for global logistics spanning air, ocean, and ground modes.
- Lead or support opportunity identification for the logistics categories through activities such as top-down business review, budget/expense reviews, or innovation sessions.
- Support Global Procurement’s participation in external benchmarking efforts. Deliver intelligence on external best practices for logistics in support of Haleon’s efforts in ongoing continuous improvement and innovation. Enhance relative maturity and capabilities through transformation programs, benchmarking, and execution efforts.
- Define and contractually implement logistics KPI’s in alignment with overall logistics goals.
- Enable the logistics category strategy alignment between central programs, such as Sustainability, Policy/Risk/Compliance, Supplier Diversity, or Supplier Relationship Management.
- Have a clear understanding of how global and regional strategies affect local markets and how global and regional strategies align.
- Be the global and/ or regional expert for defined logistics spend categories.

- Deliver global, regional, and in country benefits identified in strategies through effective commercial strategy execution.
- Create and deliver effective regional and global budgets agreed with key stakeholders and Finance in accordance with the Spend Management Framework and fully aligned with global budgets.
- Support the alignment of Global Procurement inputs into country Business Unit (BU) updates, enabling a category-oriented procurement organization to effectively maintain matrix relationships to key stakeholders.
