- Our strategy is to focus on creating a safe work environment where our employees feel strongly connected to our values and objectives, and where the capability of our people is key to our success.- Come and be a part of this success- About the Role- Key strategic advisor on Social Value matters responsible for supporting Minerals Americas Assets and Functions to advocate, implement and enable Social Value creation in every business-decision to position BHP as a positive contributor in the region.- Roll out Social Value Asset Embedment Plans through implementation of service level agreements with Assets.
- Track Communication teams roll out of Social Value initiatives and bright-spots in Operations and at a Minerals Americas and Global level.
- Advocate for Social Value, influence and assist internal stakeholders to achieve Social Value 2030 goals and embed Social Value capabilities within the Minerals Americas teams;
- Ensure the correct embedment of Social Value and its 2030 goals in the business planning process partnering with the Assets and Functions to include Social Value commitments and targets.
- Support Capital Projects process to make the most of the Social Value contribution by identifying opportunities.
- Identify and leverage Social Value initiatives and influence to integrate them in business planning, scorecards and reporting at regional and asset level and monitor their progress;
- Report to Central Social Value team the strategy and initiatives progress and participate in their routines as required.
- About You-
- Experience in change management projects and communications;
- Experience in Business Planning processes; is desirable.
- Experience in BOS is desirable;
- Experience in contracting consulting services;
- Demonstrate commitment to the BHP Charter and Code of Business Conduct.
- Years’ experience in mining industry desirable, with experience in corporate affairs / communications and project management highly desirable;
- Fluent in oral and written Spanish and English;
- Ability to convert strategy into measurable outcomes that drives performance;
- Ability to align regional or business unit specific strategies and tactics as part of a global, company-wide corporate affairs strategy;
- Exceptional communications and influence skills including capability to effectively engage with and advise colleagues at all levels of the Company.
- Ability to work with autonomy.
