We are seeking an outstanding education professional and leader for the position of **Interim Middle**

**School Assistant Principal **for the school year (2024-2025), according to the following skills and

qualifications:
**Position Details**
Position Name: Interim Middle School Assistant Principal
Reports to: Middle School Principal
Time commitment: Full-time

**Qualifications and Experience**
Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or Master’s Degree with additional qualifications
- in administration/leadership preferred- Teaching certification and a minimum of 4 years of relevant teaching experience
- A deep understanding of the developmental needs of Middle School students
- Experience and understanding of best practices in Standards Based Teaching, Learning and
- Assessment- Experience with positive discipline and restorative practices
- Experience creating and managing student information in student information systems

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Provide instructional leadership
- Continuously supervise teachers and provide constructive feedback in alignment with the 5D
- rubric for instructional growth and teacher development- Assist and support the Principal in leading effective professional development and parent
- workshops- Assist and support the Principal in the recruitment of teachers
- Be a leader of child safeguarding in the Middle School
- Collaborate with Operations, Health and Safety, and Facilities to ensure a safe and well
- resourced learning environment- Collaborate with the Student Community and Life Chair in all disciplinary matters in
- accordance with the school’s Internal Regulations (RIEE)- Effectively and proactively supervise and manage student behavior and work closely with

parents to address concerns
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of standards-based instruction and lead a process of

continual reflection and improvement in the design and implementation of units of study
- Promote a sense of community and school spirit within the Middle School
- Implement and lead the utilization of systems to collect and analyze student data
- Facilitate effective and purposeful collaboration around student learning
- Work collaboratively with others to create an effective Middle School schedule
- Contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of the Advisory program in the Middle
- School- Oversee daily attendance process, reporting, tracking, and follow-up
- Liaise with the Athletics Director and Principal to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation
- and scheduling of after school activities, sports, and all student life events- Stay current with the latest education research
