**As a Credit Officer based in Chile**, your primary responsibility will be to support the Commercial Finance Team in Australia, ensuring the efficient and effective management of customer accounts while maintaining compliance with the Company's credit policies and terms.
**Reporting directly to the Global Credit Controller, this role involves supporting both the Credit Controller and Shared Services Team to oversee debt collection and improve the global operations of the Credit Department**. Your tasks will involve processing direct deposits, EFTs and cheques, managing daily bank statements, and handling payment information.
Collaborating with internal departments, including the local Sales and Finance teams, your role is vital in ensuring timely customer payment collection, managing credit-related tasks, and addressing inquiries. Additionally, you will handle Accounts Receivable matters, maintain customer communication, participate in audit projects, and perform administrative duties. Other Ad hoc requirements might also arise from time to time where an in-region local contact might be required.
You will actively contribute to streamlining work processes and will be accountable for timely cash receipting, preparation of customer credit reviews and managing order releases within the Americas.
**Your keen attention to detail will ensure data accuracy for review preparation, as well as for sourcing relevant customer information including financial reports to support credit reviews.**
**Key Technical Criteria**
- 3-5 years demonstrated experience as a Credit Officer, Credit Analyst, or similar role.
- Experience working with Salesforce and ERP systems is desirable.
- Proficient in Data Entry and MS Excel.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Innovate customer investigations using advanced search tools.
- Effective communication, stakeholder management, organization, and time management skills.
