The Senior Manager for Backlog & Resource Planning is responsible for ABC (Availability + Backlog + Contribution), this role maximizes the efficiency and effectiveness of our resource allocation across all service delivery and engineering functions. This role will be responsible for reviewing, reordering, and refining the Sales Order Backlog with the aim of maximizing Revenue Recognition as a priority, followed by all other projects, started and unstarted, that require human resources to maximize EBITDA (#certs, #events, etc.).

You will work closely with department heads, regional leads, their project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the right people with the right skills are assigned to the right projects at the right time to maximize high-performance. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, commitment to excellence and continual improvement.

**Responsibilities**:

- Partner with department heads, regional leads, and project managers to understand started and unstarted project requirements and resource needs
- Analyze resource capacity, workload, and skill sets to ensure efficient and effective project staffing to achieve our metrics and goals
- Develop and implement resource allocation strategies that optimize team utilization and project success
- Forecast resource needs based on sales forecasts, project pipelines, and ongoing workload analysis
- Facilitate the assignment of personnel to projects based on skill sets, experience, and availability
- Monitor and manage resource allocation, identifying and resolving any capacity issues, or unforeseen conflicts that impede our success
- Track project progress and resource usage to ensure adherence to or improvement of timelines and budgets
- Partner with department heads, regional leads, and project managers to maintain accurate and up-to-date resource data, including skill sets, certifications, and availability
- Develop and implement processes to improve backlog consumption and resource management practices
- Smartly anticipate solutions to resource conflicts or shortages
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, and finance teams, to ensure alignment and address any service-related concerns
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports with clear findings and recommendations or corrective action.

**Requirements**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address service delivery gaps
- Proven experience in developing and implementing resource allocation strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in project management tools and software (NetSuite SRP highly desirable)
