The Office of Assessment and Institutional Research is seeking an Associate Director for Alternate Teacher Pathways (FA418) beginning in September 2023.

Primary responsibilities include facilitating and coordinating all Longwood initiatives related to alternate pathways for teacher licensure, collaborating with the College of Graduate and Professional Studies, the College of Education, Health, and Human Services, and the Cook-Cole College of Arts and Science. These initiatives include, but are not limited to, the Virginia Department of Education Career Switcher program, the Provisional Licensure Completion Initiative, and alternate undergraduate pathways to teacher licensure for post traditional students.

Additional responsibilities include outreach to school divisions to identify provisionally licensed teachers, conducting an analysis of transcripts and VDOE requirements to design individual course completion plans, and serving as the point of contact for the Virginia Community College System to design and implement alternate undergraduate pathways for individuals completing an associate's degree to transfer to Longwood.

**Requirements**:
**Required**
- Extensive experience with and knowledge of the Virginia Department of Education's teacher licensure regulations, practices, and processes
- Experience working with post traditional students pursuing teacher licensure
- Experience as a teacher and/or administrator in a public school or institution of higher education
- Experience establishing and maintaining partnerships with school divisions
- Highly organized with experience maintaining accurate records, extracting data, creating reports and presenting information to stakeholders
- Master's Degree preferred, or Bachelor's Degree with equivalent combination of work experience and/or training.

**Preferred**
- Current Virginia teaching license

This position is a full-time, administrative & professional faculty, exempt position. A successful criminal background investigation is required. AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, and other national service alumni are encouraged to apply.
