Team Overview:
DiDi’s International Government Affairs Team is responsible for collaborating closely with key policymakers, regulators and external stakeholders to build a policy environment that supports the needs of our partners and our business. As the world’s leading mobility and convenience platform, with upwards of 50 million trips and deliveries happening on our platform every day, DiDi helps more than 550 million people around the world get where they’re going, and the things that they need. That means providing services for millions of people around the world that are environmentally friendly and safe, while providing opportunities for millions in need of flexible earnings, with an emphasis on diversity and inclusion and the best possible earnings and benefits. The discussion on policy and regulation for urban mobility and convenience has never been more important. The international policy team will play a pivotal role in developing and driving a more informed and thoughtful discussion on relevant policies in this area.
Role Responsibilities:

- Colaborate with a strong team of government affairs experts, defining and executing clear and focused plans for our mobility, delivery and payments businesses
- Monitor and assess policies and regulations regarding ride hailing, delivery digital platforms.
- Advocate before public officals for balanced and objective regulations.
- Serve as a key member of the DiDi leadership team in Chile, serving as an advisor to local and global leadership, and helping to guide the direction of the company, including our product and business strategy
- Establish and lead DiDi's most important relationships with government and other important external stakeholders, including key industry groups and associations
- Define and manage our budgets as well as our agency and consultant support structure
- Serve as a key public face for the company, potentially speaking at important events or with media on critical issues
Role Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications:
- 15+ years of government affairs experience, ideally with substantive roles within a government/political context as well as within a corporate/consultancy environment
- Experience working with a global organization is ideal - a background working for U.S. or Chinese tech companies a big plus
- Native (or near native) of Chile
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Bachelor's degree or master in international relations, economy, law, political science, or similar fields.
