Thisposition will report directly to the Head of Controller of and indotted line with the Corporate Controller/ VP of Finance Operations,will help to keep updated the developments and initiatives foraccounting for the country under its responsibility.What you will bedoingManagementOversee the accounting operations of all the traveltransactions and locations in the countryManage banks and outsourcedfunctionsTransactionsMaintain an orderly accounting filing system anda system of controls over accounting transactionsPrepare payments byverifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.Process countrypayroll in a timely mannerEnsure that periodic bank reconciliationsare completedReportingIssue monthly financial statements for thecountryCoordinate the preparation of the corporatequarter and annualreport for the countryCalculate and issue financial and operatingmetricsPrepare weekly cash flow forecastComplianceOversee compilablewith local and state reporting requirements and tax filings for thecountryCoordinate the provision of information to external auditorsfor the annual auditWhat you need for the role5+ years of Finance &Accounting experience in the hospitality industryHigh school diplomarequired, college courses in accounting preferredExcellent knowledgeof accounting (accounts payable/general ledger, financial chart ofaccounts, etc.)Good knowledge of and corporate procedures andfinancial processes (budgeting, financial closure, etc.)Fluent orcapable of working in English and/or SpanishProficient in Excel,PowerPoint and WordMust have strong work ethics and be well organizedand a self-starterMust be able to follow standard filingproceduresDetail oriented, professional attitude, reliablePossessstrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to communicateeffectively verbally and in writingAbility to interact with employeesin a professional mannerAbility to work independently and with a teamin a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracyand timeliness
