Location: Chile

Reports to: Director of Operations

To manage and optimize the supply chain for the pharmaceutical company, ensuring the availability of high-quality products in the market while complying with local and international regulations and maximizing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and Strategy:

  • Develop and execute the supply chain strategy aligned with the companyâs business objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and forecast inventory needs to ensure product availability.
  • Select and negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.

Logistics and Distribution:

  • Oversee logistics operations, including transportation and storage of pharmaceutical products.
  • Implement process improvements in distribution to reduce costs and delivery times.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all supply chain processes comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations and local laws.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits to guarantee regulatory adherence.

Inventory Management:

  • Optimize inventory levels to minimize obsolescence risk and ensure continuous product flow.
  • Implement inventory management systems and data analysis for informed decision-making.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and production departments to align the supply chain with business needs.
  • Participate in new product development, ensuring logistics and supply considerations are integrated from the start.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in the supply chain through performance analysis and KPIs.
  • Implement Lean Management and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelorâs degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields. An MBA or specialization in Supply Chain is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of supply chain management experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with GMP regulations and pharmaceutical industry standards.
    • Proficiency in inventory management tools and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Skills:
    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
    • Strong analytical and results-oriented mindset.
