Investment, M&A & Portfolio Associate responsible for supporting the evaluation, execution and monitoring of investments and M&A transactions for renewable energy assets in Chile (solar, wind and storage). The role sits within the M&A function and works closely with development, finance and asset management teams to analyse opportunities, structure transactions and ensure a robust, value-accretive portfolio for the company at local and corporate level. Key Responsibilities Build, maintain and refine financial models for greenfield, brownfield and operating assets (CAPEX, OPEX, revenues, sensitivities). Perform valuations (DCF, NPV, IRR, payback, multiples) and scenario analysis to support investment decisions and internal approvals. Prepare business cases and investment decks for internal committees, summarising key assumptions, risks and value drivers. Challenge and validate inputs received from development, engineering, asset management and financing teams. 2. M&A Transaction Support Support end-to-end M&A processes (buy-side and/or sell-side) for projects and platforms in Chile and the region. Coordinate data rooms: information gathering, organisation of documentation and Q&A with counterparties and advisors. Assist in the due diligence process (technical, financial, legal, tax, regulatory), consolidating findings and quantifying impacts in the financial model. Collaborate with finance and corporate development teams on transaction structuring and support negotiations of SPAs, JVs and shareholders agreements. Monitor the financial and operational performance of the existing asset portfolio, tracking KPIs vs. investment case. Update models and business cases to reflect latest performance, market conditions, regulatory changes and financing terms. Support re‑pricing, refinancing, divestment or re‑powering decisions from a value‑creation and risk‑management perspective. Prepare periodic portfolio reports for local management and corporate teams, including variance analysis and recommendation of corrective actions. Screen new investment opportunities (greenfield, ready‑to‑build, operating assets and platforms) in coordination with development and business development teams. Analyse market fundamentals (prices, demand, congestion/curtailment, regulation, auctions, PPAs) that impact asset value and strategy. Benchmark transactions, multiples and deal structures in the Chilean and regional renewable markets. Provide input to strategic discussions on capital allocation and portfolio optimisation. 5. Cross-Functional Coordination & Governance Work closely with development, engineering, asset management, legal and financing teams to align technical, commercial and financial assumptions. Prepare materials for investment committees, senior leadership and corporate stakeholders. Help ensure that projects and transactions meet internal governance standards, risk frameworks and ESG requirements. Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, templates and processes within the M&A and investments function. Candidate Profile Education Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Industrial), Business, Economics, Finance or related fields. Postgraduate studies in corporate finance, project finance, financial modelling, M&A or renewable energy are a strong plus. Experience Around 4–7 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, project finance, corporate development, transaction services or similar roles in infrastructure/energy. Demonstrated experience building and owning detailed financial models and business cases (NPV/IRR, sensitivities, downside scenarios). Exposure to M&A processes (project or platform level) and/or structuring of investments in renewable or infrastructure assets. Understanding of the Chilean power market, regulation and typical contractual structures (PPAs, EPC, O&M, financing) is highly valued. Experience interacting with advisors, banks, investors and internal multidisciplinary teams. Proactive, curious and hands‑on, with a focus on value creation, risk mitigation and long‑term portfolio sustainability. Strong financial and analytical skills; advanced Excel and solid PowerPoint skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; advanced English is required. Strong project management abilities, able to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in parallel. High attention to detail combined with a pragmatic, business‑oriented mindset.
