Applicants who do not meet the essential criteria will be considered under the Annex 21 training programme, where whilst undergoing training they will be paid 70% of the top of Band 7 and on completion of training will then move on to Band 7 scale. Responsibilities Are you an experienced Advanced Practitioner with a passion for ENT? We are looking for a highly skilled Advanced Practitioner to join our dynamic, forward‑thinking team. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will work as a key member of our ENT team, providing high‑quality assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for both adult and paediatric patients presenting with acute and urgent ENT conditions. This includes undertaking advanced clinical assessment, performing ENT‑specific procedures, prescribing safely and effectively, and requesting/ interpreting investigations within your scope of practice. Acting as an autonomous practitioner, you will often be the first point of contact for urgent ENT presentations, ensuring timely intervention, admission avoidance where appropriate, and safe onward care. You will undertake rotational shifts including days and nights, across a seven‑day working week (including public holidays). This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advanced Practitioner, or Trainee Advanced Practitioner looking to develop or enhance ENT‑specific skills within a supportive and forward‑thinking team, where advanced practice, clinical expertise and collaborative working is valued and encouraged. Qualifications Registered Nurse / AHP / Pharmacist with valid NMC/HCPC / GPHC Registration. Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level. Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced clinical practice and expertise within speciality / Area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality. Advanced Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality. Evidence of application of advanced practice skills in speciality and applying clinical judgement. Evidence of further developed knowledge and experience in management and/or leadership. Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification. The post holder will possess excellent team‑working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate and influence others and work using own initiative. Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills and effective time management skills. Working knowledge of basic information technology. Desirable attributes Evidence of personal contribution to service planning and redesign projects.
