We operate in the open, favor bold choices over endless meetings, and believe that if it can be done today, it should be. We are collaborative internally and competitive externally—never the other way around. About The Role We are looking for a sharp, high-growth Strategic Finance Associate to help anchor and scale our operations across Latin America. This is not a traditional back-office role; you will be at the intersection of accounting, corporate strategy, and international expansion. You will support the design of our financial infrastructure, ensuring that our LATAM operations are not just compliant, but optimized for speed and scale. As we grow, you will evolve from managing external partners to owning internal processes, moving from “keeping the books” to “driving the business.” This role is for someone who wants to master the complexity of multi-country finance and step into senior responsibilities as the company scales. You Will Strategic Financial Planning: Support the evaluation of business needs to ensure our financial systems and organization scale alongside our growth. Budgeting & Financial Analysis: Maintain budgeting tools, provide variance reporting, and conduct cash flow analysis to support data-driven decision making. Compliance & Close Management: Manage GAAP compliant processes and oversee monthly/quarterly close cycles, ensuring impeccable record keeping and tax filing accuracy. Revenue & Expense Ownership: Manage the full accounts receivable and payable cycle, ensuring timely invoicing and vendor management across the region. Audit & Internal Controls: Maintain the internal controls necessary for a smooth audit process and high standard financial integrity. Payroll & People Ops: Collaborate with People Operations to ensure accuracy in regional payroll, labor budgeting, and banking runs. Key Responsibilities Subsidiary Management: Coordinate with legal, tax, and banking partners to manage local subsidiaries across LATAM (Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, and Mexico). Cross-Border Operations: Enable compliant invoicing and fund flows across multiple jurisdictions, navigating the complexities of different currencies. System Optimization: Act as a power user of NetSuite (ERP), optimizing workflows and preparing the transition from outsourced models to internalized processes. Treasury Support: Monitor multi currency operations to assist with FX risk management and ensure liquidity across all markets. Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a key finance contact for Sales, Product, and Legal teams to help remove operational friction in each country. Reporting: Support regional financial reporting and provide documentation for investor communications. What (we think) you need to be successful Experience: 3+ years in Strategic Finance, Corporate Accounting, or Financial Operations. Experience in high growth startups or “Big 4” firms is a significant plus. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Professional certifications (CPA, CFA, or similar) are valued. Regional Expertise: Solid understanding of accounting frameworks and tax compliance across multiple LATAM jurisdictions (specifically Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Colombia). You should understand how to navigate cross-border financial complexities. Systems Thinker: Robust experience with NetSuite (Oracle) or similar Tier 1 ERPs. You don’t just “use” the system; you understand how to optimize it for better reporting and automation. Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in financial modeling and a strong grasp of GAAP/IFRS. You should be able to translate raw data into strategic insights (e.g., burn rate analysis, FX impact, etc.). Strategic Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage external partners (banks, tax firms) and communicate financial complexities clearly to non-finance stakeholders. Startup DNA: A “100 mph” mindset. You are comfortable with ambiguity, take radical ownership, and prefer building scalable structures over following a manual. Languages: Fluency in Spanish and English is required (you will collaborate with a global team). Portuguese is a strong advantage for our Brazilian operations. What We Value Deep dive into details: Professionals who are not content with superficial answers and dive deeply into the details to uncover root causes and optimal solutions. Team first: A low need for individual recognition, always prioritizing collective results over personal credit. You thrive with ambiguity: Exceptional ability to tackle open-ended problems in unstructured environments, turning chaos into structured innovation. Adaptability: Willingness to learn, mentor, lead, and follow as the situation demands, fostering growth at all levels. Urgency: A disproportionate sense of urgency in execution, while keeping scalability and the creation of replicable processes in mind to ensure long-term success. Curiosity: Genuinely curious individuals who can quickly learn difficult concepts and apply them effectively. Do you sound like the right fit?
