Job Title Physician Assistant Position Type Full‑Time Contract Role Location San Antonio, TX 78258 – Onsite at Clinic Estimated Pay $65.00/Hour to $70.38/Hour on W2 (USD) Schedule Clinic hours including every other weekend; possible holiday rotations. Requirements Active BLS required; must provide copy upon offer acceptance. Physician Assistant program completion with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice. Minimum 1 year recent Primary Care experience preferred; if not, completion of CVS MinuteClinic primary care training program acceptable. Working knowledge of chronic disease management and quality measurement. Self‑motivated, prioritizes and solves problems; takes initiative. Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills. Outstanding organizational skills and multi‑tasking ability. Ability to work autonomously without direct supervision and practice independently. Proficient with information management and technology. Willingness to obtain multi‑state licensures. Ability to collaborate with professional colleagues to ensure quality patient care. Duties Provide primary and family evidence‑based care: assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, counseling, and disposition planning. Perform routine examinations, speak with patients about healthy lifestyle choices, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals. Undertake administrative duties: opening/closing the clinic, inventory, patient follow‑up, verifying insurance, collecting payment, and maintaining a clean environment. Encourage patients to be active participants in their health through screenings, behavioral health, wellness, and chronic condition management. Responsibilities MinuteClinic Physician Assistants work in collaboration with a dedicated clinical care team to provide evidence‑based care to a patient panel. The team drives better patient outcomes through accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of health problems. The role reports to the practice manager. Education Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or related health‑related Master’s with Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies) with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice.
