We welcome applications for this part time, permanent post which is part of the West of Scotland Trauma Network. The post-holder will work with non-brain injured patients with polytrauma referred from the regional Major Trauma Centre (QEUH) or local Trauma Unit at University Hospital Wishaw. In addition to direct clinical work, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to support multidisciplinary clinical colleagues through consultation, as well as engaging in service development to improve the psychological care of patients with traumatic injuries in acute and community settings. The post will also provide opportunities for teaching, training, research and audit. It is managed through the Neuropsychology service with good links to the local neuropsychology network and wider Psychological Services. What we'll need you to bring- Good Honours degree in psychology (2.1 or above)
- Post graduate doctorate in Clinical Psychology
- Registered with the Health Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist
- Post qualification training in clinical supervision accredited by a relevant training course
- Post-qualification experience (or equivalent) of supervised clinical practice
- Experience of working with older people
- Maintenance of mandatory training requirements set by NHS Lanarkshire
- A commitment to post qualification CPD according to BPS guidelines
- A working knowledge of other mental health professions
- A knowledge of BPS, NHS and other relevant legal and ethical guidelines
- Full driving licence
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have- Post-qualification CPD relevant to the post e.g modules of the Glasgow University MSc in Clinical Neuropsychology
- Post-qualification experience of working with older people
- Supervisory experience
- Post-qualification experience of neuropsychological evaluation
- Knowledge of government legislation and policy relevant to older people
- Ability to organise workload of others e.g. trainee, assistant
