About the Role:


Especialista de GIS en Exploraciones es responsable del manejo de los datos generados del trabajo de exploración a escala regional (Sudamérica) y nacional (Chile-Perú-Ecuador) y de los flujos de datos.

Proporciona soporte GIS a los equipos regionales y nacionales, incluido HSE y el equipo de comunidades, así como soporte para otras aplicaciones de datos espaciales.


Principales
Responsabilidades:

  • Adherencia a los protocolos de gestión de datos aprobados para las regiones.
  • Proporcionar apoyo para la compilación de datos, la interpretación geológica y la producción de mapas para generar análisis espaciales que apoyen la toma de decisiones geológicas.
  • Control de calidad de los datos del GIS, especialmente en lo que respecta a la topología, atributos, proyección, l metadatos, simbología y las iniciativas de apoyo para mejorar la calidad de los datos gestionados.
  • Proveer entrenamiento técnico GIS a geocientíficos de todas las funciones dentro de MEX
  • Colaborar con el equipo Data Science para garantizar el cumplimiento de las normas y las mejores prácticas de BHP.
  • Asistir en la estrategia de gestión de datos y actividades de desarrollo cuando sea necesario para mejorar el proceso de negocio.
  • Apoyo a la administración del sistema de propiedad minera, QAQC de los datos geoespaciales y prestación de servicios de confección de mapas.

About You:

  • Titulado/a en Geología, Geografía, Cartografía u otra titulación afín. Preferiblemente con certificación en GIS.
años de experiência en minería o exploración

  • Conocimientos y habilidades avanzados de GIS en toda la gama de herramientas ArcGIS y ArcMap.
  • Conocimientos de nível intermedio, como mínimo, de otras aplicaciones geoespaciales 2D o 3D (Oasis Montaj, Target for ArcGIS, Leapfrog, etc.).
  • Conocimientos básicos de ArcSDE, acQuire, DAP, SQL u otro sistema de gestión geoespacial.
  • Capacidad y experiência para compilar datos geocientíficos, por ejemplo, datos geológicos, geoquímicos, geofísicos, de propiedades mineras o de exploración.
  • Conocimientos de gestión de datos GIS con capacidad demostrada para orientar y formar a proveedores y usuarios de datos sobre los principios de gestión de datos GIS.
  • Capacidad de comunicación demostrada, incluida la capacidad de comunicarse con diversos grupos de usuarios.
  • Capacidad demostrada para trabajar con varios equipos simultáneamente.
  • Conocimientos informáticos; capacidad para aprender nuevos programas.
  • Conocimientos de inglés de nível profesional.
  • Disponibilidad para viajes
