Your Tasks - Paint the world green
- This role assumes ownership of all finance topics related to Flix Chile and has wide range of responsibilities listed below.
- Implement planning and budgeting processes in line with HQ guidance and instructions.
- Collaborate with local and HQ teams to create annual budgets and monitor performance against financial targets.
- Conduct financial analysis to assess the company's financial health, profitability, and performance.
- Prepare regular reports, including financial statements, cash flow projections, and variance analysis, to provide insights and recommendations to HQ and local management.
- Coordinate with external tax compliance providers.
- Oversee daytoday financial operations, including accounting, payroll, invoicing and payment.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions by external / internal service providers and adherence to internal controls.
- Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and optimize cash utilization within the company.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve cash flow, such as efficient accounts payable and receivable management. Identify and mitigate financial risks faced by the company.
- Implement an effective internal control environment based on HQ flix internal control guidance and maintain it. Provide financial insights and guidance to support decisionmaking.
- Evaluate contracts local business partners from a financial perspective.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to streamline financial operations and reporting.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Controlling, Accounting, or other related fields of studies
- Minimum of 56 years of experience in a similar role and/or in the fields of Auditing, Tax, Accounting, Controlling, Corporate Finance, Treasury, ideally in a startup or a highpaced, dynamic environment
- Strong understanding of local compliance and regulatory environment and industry specifics
- Solid stakeholder management experience and project management skills
- Great sense of responsibility and independence, proactive, detailed and people oriented
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills paired with a collaborative mindset
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong data analysis skills and knowledge of any data visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
- Professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or CA preferred
- English & Spanish languages knowledge, at proficiency level, are a must
