Role Overview

We are looking for:

We count on you for:

  • Actively participate in the construction and implementation of the sales account strategy
  • Develop new accounts and establish a sustainable relationship with the customer by ensuring multilevel contacts
  • Complete and execute plans for the exploitation of sales opportunities in coordination with the regional and global MEP sales team
  • Drive New Product Introduction commercialization
  • Accountable for business planning including trial and commercial proposals, and technical reports
  • Actively collect market intelligence and support the sales and marketing team in establishing the sales strategy in anticipation of market changes and/or evolutions.
  • Establish and maintain excellent work relationships with the technical services support team
  • Ensure compliance to internal reporting requirement including but not limited to call report / service report / call out report / monthly highlight / trial proposal / trial report...
  • Comply to Solvay policies such as code of conduct, antibribery, antitrust, business travel expense guidelines.

You will bring:

  • Possess a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering, chemistry and at least 5 years' experience in Mining industry.
  • Specific understanding about Lithium business and reagents development.
  • On hand experience with solvent extraction process for other metals different than copper. (Nickel, cobalt, RREE, etc)
  • Experience design, and executing SX piloting for lithium and other Metals.
  • Experience about analytics technics for Li, Ca. Mg, Na. B, RREE, Mo, Ni, Co and others.
  • Deep knowledge about lithium extraction technologies
  • High domain of value chain of copper hydrometallurgy, focus in solvent extraction.
  • Experience managing statistical package or experience handling high quantity of data
  • Experience in consultative sales (no essential).
  • Demonstrate good technical and commercial sense with a high focus on value selling
  • Desire to build excellent customer relationships while promoting Solvay products to the benefit of the client
  • Demonstrate excellent project planning skills related to planning and execution of laboratory work and product trials
  • Expert competency in MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint and/or google chrome identical programs
  • Possess excellent writing skills in support of information exchanges with customers and internal Solvay
  • Problem solver by nature, acting as first point of contact for the customer in case of product questions or requests for support
  • Highly desirable, empowerment orientation, critical thinking and well behavior under high performance environment.
  • Spanish Mandatory, English mandatory (Intermediate level minimum)
  • Travel availability 50% of the time
