HSE programs will be well implemented and meet the relevant standards and regulations in the Plant.

That means you will ensure that facilities provided are well maintained, regulation/procedure are in place and implemented, hazards/aspects assessments are conducted, the accident both caused by unsafe acts and conditions are reduced and energy and waste are driven down.


How you will contribute

You will:

  • Assist and lead the cultural transformation regarding HSE to help lead plant to achieve Zero accidents and Incidents
  • Be responsible for coordinating and overseeing implementation of all Health & Safety programs and processes
  • Participate in investigations to facilitate closure of identified nonconformances
  • Provide Health and Safety expertise for the plant for all new projects and change management activities
  • Follow up on nonconformances and develops the systems to resolve them based on root cause analysis
  • Maintain an uptodate incident reporting system, assist with investigating incidents in conjunction with the HSE Pillar team/safety committee and drive the completion of corrective actions to eliminate root causes/reoccurrence
  • Develop technical guidance programs to identify and remove physical hazards'

You will bring experience and knowledge in:

  • Experience in Environmental Health and Safety
  • Must have completed Environmental Health and Safety training in areas such as OSHA, EPA, DNREC
  • Experience in safety, and/or environmental technical standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with individuals at all levels
  • Understanding and knowledge of regulatory reports and compliances including experience with ISO

  • Responsible for Implementing and managing programs, standards, tools, processes and systems in order to ensure compliance with company policies, objectives and corporate plans in various activities related to the business, in order to achieve the goals of the strategic vision of Mondelez.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to the initiatives of the different WACAM sourcing, whether or not they are Mondelez, to guarantee permanent alignment and improve our ability to achieve a sustainable business with worldclass performance, putting sustainability at the center of the business as an acceleration engine, with awareness of social challenges and commitment to stakeholders and a collaborative culture.

Education / Certifications:

  • Careers in environmental science, conservation or sustainability, either undergraduate or postgraduate (desirable) or other related careers with experience in HSE.

Job specific requirements:

Preferably knowledge of:

  • Knowledge of legislation related to sustainability
  • Management Systems related to sustainability / environment
  • Carbon footprint calculation
  • Water footprint calculation
  • Calculation of ecological footprint
  • Advanced English

Experience:

  • 35 years in Sustainability positions, preferably in mass consumption companies, multinational (desirable), that have led multicountry programs.
  • Experience in communication and sustainability approach with brand reputation management, and relationships with regulatory bodies and other key associations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the HSE Chile management, guaranteeing the implementation of corporate standards and local regulations for the Commercial and CS&L teams, including 3PL support; that allow reaching the safety, health and environment targets established for the Chile cluster.
  • Support the region's multidisciplinary sustainability committee in the design of the WACAM sustainability strategy and roadmap aligned to global guidelines.
  • Advise and provide constant support to the project area in the calculations and estimates of the carbon footprint, water and ecological footprint of the projects that are proposed, giving visibility to the compensation needs necessary to be included in them.
  • Evaluate and analyze company policies and processes to identify areas where improvements can be made in line with the region's commitment to global corporate sustainability goals
  • Propose and implement strategies to address various environmental concerns.
  • Write and implement sustainable organizational policies that address environmental concerns
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability programs by recommending and implementing improvements as necessary
