As a FinOps & Treasury Associate, you will operate and design our back-office operations and work closely with our Controllership and Treasury teams. The FinOps & Treasury Associate will report to the FinOps Director and interact with multiple stakeholders in different countries.

What you'll work on

  • FinOps
    • FinOps is the intersection of Finance and Operations, heavily involving data management and analysis, implementation of controls and procedures, and enabling collaboration between engineering, finance and business teams
    • Establish, execute and improve disbursement and collections controls as well as reconciliation processes
    • Produce collections, accounts payable and loan disbursement reports for Controllership
    • Operate our credit facility by leading the communication with the Trustee and Back-up Servicer, including the preparation of the necessary documentation and reports to operate the facility
    • Partner with Tech teams to ensure the generation of accurate, relevant and timely reports
    • Participate with the FinOps director in ad hoc projects and analysis
  • Treasury
    • Coordinate and ensure the seamless execution of all treasury functions
    • Implement and improve cash control mechanisms
    • Produce cash flow projections to manage liquidity risk
    • Manage the relationship with banks and financial institutions
    • Coordinate with other teams on projects, tax planning, intercompany transactions, capitalizations and third party transactions and agreements
    • Partner with the Controllership team in the implementation of the ERP system
    • Execute accounts payable, payroll, debt interest payments and other transactions
    • Own and control the usage of corporate credit cards
    • Update cash balances on a daily basis

Who you are

  • Accountant or finance professional with the following profile:
    • Proven experience running Treasury roles including the execution of accounts payable, payroll and bank reconciliations
    • Strong knowledge of cash flow projections and the required controls to effectively manage our liquidity position
    • 3 to 6 years of experience in a similar role at a tech or financial institution
    • High proficiency in Excel
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English
  • Desirable experience with ERPs.
  • Desirable experience implementing controls and tools for risk and cash management
  • Desirable basic knowledge in SQL
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related.
