Your Role: Based in our Santiago office in Chile, we are on the lookout for a skilled Finance Director. Reporting to the Managing Director of LATAM, the Finance Director will oversee the accounting and financial activities of the LATAM Division, which currently includes our offices in Colombia, Chile, Peru, and Mexico.

Finance Director - LATAM Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise financial accounting operations in LATAM, offering support to the local accounts receivable and payables teams.
• Review expenditures, ensuring compliance with the organization's accounting protocols.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts, make necessary adjustments to daily journal entries.
• Handle all local regulatory and tax compliance obligations and submissions to government bodies.
• Safeguard the integrity of revenue, ensuring adherence to organizational policies, local regulations, and international standards.
• Ensure compliance with Corporate Finance guidelines and procedures.
• Maintain open communication with the Corporate Finance Team in Montreal.
• Supervise all issues related to compensation and payments.
• Work closely with Corporate Financial Shared Services to ensure compliance with credit, collections, and accounts receivable processes across all LATAM entities.
• Establish procedures to guarantee timely collections.
• Oversee capital asset initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization's objectives.
• Prepare fiscal estimates and reports upon request.
• Analyze financial reports compared to the current budget and previous year data.
• Provide advice and support to the Managing Director - LATAM on financial matters and strategies.
• Assist the Managing Director - LATAM in staffing decisions within the Finance Department.
• Supervise and set schedules for support staff in the organization's operations.
• Conduct performance evaluations for all members of the LATAM Finance Team.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Thorough understanding of IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Strong managerial skills with the ability to assess the performance of others.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Familiarity with the organization's financial practices and procedures, along with knowledge of local regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as SAGE and standard office equipment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA, CA, or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of five years in financial management within a similar organization or a leading CPA firm.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, both spoken and written, along with knowledge of financial terminology.

This role is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday.
