**Your Part in It**:
Working out of our Santiago office in Chile, we are looking for our next Finance Director. Reporting to the Managing Director of LATAM, the Finance Director will provide accounting and financial control work for the Finance Department of the LATAM Division, currently consisting of our offices in Colombia, Chile, Peru and Mexico.
**FINANCE DIRECTOR - LATAM**
**What the Job Entails**:
- Manages and oversees financial accounting in LATAM, while also providing support to the local accounts receivable and payables teams
- Audits expenditures, ensuring compliance with the accounting procedures of the organization.
- Balances and reconciles accounts; adjusts and corrects daily journal entries.
- Manages all local regulatory and tax compliance requirements and submissions to government agencies.
- Maintains full integrity of all revenues, ensuring organization policies and procedures, as well as country and local regulations, are followed.
- Ensures compliance with all Corporate Finance policies and procedures.
- Maintains active and open dialogue with Corporate Finance Team in Montreal.
- Oversees all compensation issues and payment.
- Collaborates with corporate Financial Shared Services to ensure credit, collections, and accounts receivables compliance within all LATAM entities.
- Develops procedures that ensure collections are complete and current.
- Oversees capital assets projects, ensuring organization’s goals are being met.
- Compiles fiscal estimates and prepares fiscal reports as requested.
- Analyzes financial reports in relation to current budget and prior year information.
- Advises / assists Managing Director - LATAM on all finance issues and strategies.
- Assists Managing Director - LATAM in staffing decisions in the Finance Department.
- Supervises and schedules staff in organization support operations.
- Develops and conducts performance evaluations for all members of the LATAM Finance Team.
- Performs other related duties as requested.
**What We Are Looking For**:
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and local country accounting standards.
- Excellent managerial skills and ability to evaluate the work of others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of organization’s applicable financial practices and procedures, as well as a thorough understanding of country and local rules and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software SAGE and standard office and accounting equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA, CA or equivalent designation required.
- Five years of management experience in finance with a similar organization or with a major CPA firm.
- Spanish and English speaking and written fluency and fluency in Finance nomenclature.
This is a full-time permanent position from Monday to Friday.
