Senior Health Care Support Worker – Radiography

The Role

To provide a high standard of care to a wide patient group of all ages, ethnic background and clinical condition during radiological imaging procedures which include, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound and plain film examination.

To assist radiology staff in producing high quality images in all imaging modalities, ensuring the provision of high quality, patient centred care, ensuring an effective and efficient flow of patients throughout the department and hospital.

Shift pattern: over 7 days, hours between 8am - 8pm

In This Key Role, You Will

• Care for every patients’ needs, and to look after his or her welfare
• Provide Initial basic assessment of patient physical capabilities e.g. patient’s ability to undress
• Be responsible for providing basic information to patients
• Input patient data on Radiology information system
• Assist Radiographers, Radiologists and Nurses with patient during radiology examinations

What You'll Bring

• SVQ III in Healthcare Support - Clinical (incorporating modules on radiographic images) or working towards or equivalent radiography experience
• Or
• SVQ III in Healthcare Support - Clinical or working towards or equivalent experience working within a clinical healthcare environment/role
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to take direction and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Effective communication skills; oral and written
• Ability to plan and organise own workload
