Our client is an online travel company for consumers and small business travelers. They own numerous well-known online marketplaces for vacation rentals. Their mission is to connect homeowners and property managers with travelers who seek the space.

The Network Team is focused on developing, maintaining, and supporting data center and cloud network infrastructures. The team's core responsibilities include managing and supporting network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the global network and related security services. Our mission is to resolve system and network disruptions swiftly. We aim to enhance network connectivity through automation and orchestration.

The project also implies automation of network processes, including circuit provisioning and routing protocol convergence, to achieve faster speeds and consistency in network connectivity. Additionally, the project tasks include creating and maintaining detailed network diagrams and equipment inventories, utilizing automation tools to guarantee accuracy and completeness.

IF YOU ARE

Possessing a bachelor's or master's degree in IT-related field Experienced working in decentralized teams and projects Knowledgeable of LAN/WAN, VPN, and Cloud Aware of network infrastructure: routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers Understanding and applying common network protocols Good at Network monitoring/alerting tools such as DataDog and logging tools such as Splunk A skilled troubleshooter in identifying and resolving network issues promptly Understanding wireless networking standards Configuring and managing wireless access points and controllers Familiar with cloud networking and hybrid cloud environment concepts Well-versed with cloud services such as Compute, Firewall, Security Groups, VPC, and Transit Gateway Confident in firewall policy configurations, VPNs, remote access, and other security protocols. Having a concept of network security practices: vulnerability assessments, mitigation, and remediation Accustomed to handling network-related incidents and outages. Easily working within a structured incident management framework and following policy A holder of strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Assessing network issues fast and offering effective solutions Knowledgeable of network compliance standards and best practices Proficient in managing network changes and ensuring minimal disruption Willing to create and maintain detailed network documentation Experienced with generating reports on network performance and incidents

AND YOU WANT TO

Design, implement, and manage LAN/WAN, VPN, and cloud network infrastructures using routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points Configure firewall policies, VPNs, and remote access protocols to secure the network Configure and manage wireless networking standards, access points, and controllers to maintain a reliable wireless network Manage cloud networking in hybrid cloud environments Monitor network performance and security, quickly identify and resolve network issues Manage network-related incidents and outages using a structured incident management framework Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement mitigation and remediation strategies Document network configurations, processes, and incidents thoroughly Work with tech leadership to align project goals and strategies, ensuring successful project outcomes Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Mentor junior network engineers and share knowledge
