Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties, preparing and managing monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, manage treasury duties and owning the accounting for Account Receivable, Account Payable, fixed assets, maintains the financial records of companies and logging financial process of payments.
General accounting:
- Collaborate with the accounting and finance teams to obtain and request required data to analyze.
- Review expenses, payroll to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports and help out senior accountants create our monthly and yearly closings and reports.
- Liaise with Chief accountant and other financial executives to understand the business objectives and improvements in finance they want to achieve.
- Present all accounting account analysis once data has been analyzed with the closing accounting month.
- Notify Chief Accountant and executives of any and all suspicious or worrying information found when analyzing data.
- Prepare data, reports, and information required for auditing where required.
- Assist with quarterly, yearly, and monthly reconciliation, including AR and AP reports
Treasury:
- Reconcile bank accounts, post information and balance general or subsidiary ledgers, and compile segments of monthly closings, annual reports.
- Receiving and verifying expense reports and invoices from vendors and suppliers and travel & expenses management
- Processing payments to supplier per company policies.
- Collecting AR to clients per company policies.
- Fixed fund and refunds Payments Process.
- Reconciling payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate.
- Solving payment or invoice discrepancies and documentation.
- Overseeing day-to-day financial activities.
- Documenting transactions and updating ledgers and the financials database.
- Analyzing and interpreting financial data.
- Preparing financial TM5 and Liquidity forecasts such as revenue, expenses, and loan estimations.
- Maintain Master of suppliers in term of: Creations, modifications, block and unblock suppliers.
Accounting Closing
- Preparing closing accounting calendar every month.
- Open and close every period in the ERP System.
- Record all business transactions by accurately posting and processing necessary journal entries.
1.Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience in a similar organization, Accounting Analyst, Ap Analyst or Treasury analyst experience.
2. Capable of communicating precisely, effectively and convincingly based on facts with internal and external stakeholders
3. IT literate and SAP knowledge
4. A structured and well organized individual
5. Must be self-motivated, self directed and be able to work under pressure in a fast paced team environment
6. Be an expert in excel and office products
7. Detail Oriented.
