QB2 is an open pit operation which leaches the ore to produce copper cathodes via processing in an SX-EW plant. It is located in the Tarapaca Region, at an altitude of 4,400 meters above sea level and approximately 240 kilometers southeast of the city of Iquique.

Project considers the construction of a concentrator plant near the mine; a tailings deposit; a pipeline for the transportation of copper concentrate; a desalination plant supplying sea water - which will be sent by an aqueduct to the concentrator and facilities for the reception, filtering and shipment of the concentrate in the Patache Norte sector, south of Iquique.

**General Job Description**

Assigned to a specific construction contractor’s hydrotesting operations, coordinates and monitors the hydrotest program. Coordinates with Owner and the construction contractor for all hydrotest activities. Ensures assigned hydrotest activities are in compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule and to quality standards
**Duties and Responsibilities**

1. Monitor and coordinate hydrotest site activities of Client, Bechtel, construction contractor and their representatives and others as may be assigned within area of responsibility.

2. Perform overall supervision of personnel in assigned area of responsibility.

3. Monitor craft resources as assigned and coordinate the activities with designated construction contractor’s manager.

4. Ensure the construction contractor plans and implements procedures to ensure hydrotesting operations are continuously adhering to engineering designs, specifications, quality standards and schedules.

5. Monitor and coordinate hydrotest operations to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.

6. Maintain relationship with Client and their representatives, as assigned.

7. Monitor construction contractor’s implementation of all local/national regulatory safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied with in assigned area of responsibility.

8. Actively participate in scheduled safety meetings.

9. Perform general administrative functions inherent in hydrotest supervisory positions.

10. Ensure construction contractor’s project policies and procedures are fully implemented as necessitated by conditions at site.

**J**ob** K**no**wledge**
- Knowledge of all phases of construction operations relating to hydrotesting activities of engineering disciplines,

construction technologies and construction management.
- Knowledge of project construction environmental control plan.

**Desirable Qualifications**
- Competency in spoken and written Spanish and English.
- Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar position
