**About the Role**:
The Technical Strategy Manager for the MinAm DF has end to end accountability to develop and deliver the Technology roadmap for the Digital Factory.

The Technical Manager should have the key following traits.
- Strategic Fit - establishing the short-, medium
- and long-term roadmaps for the DF inline with the broader Technology and Asset strategy.
- Leadership - ability to lead and upskill technology professionals in line with the expectations of the DF leadership team and broader people capability work.
- Technical Excellence - is looked upon as a strong technical leader with hands on experience in several of the key focus areas.
- Develop the 24-month Technical Vision for the DF
- Develop the 24-month roadmap to achieve this vision including dependencies including at Product level.
- Development and run MOP and MIP to achieve quarterly deliverables.
- Identify Technical skills and capabilities required to deliver on Technical Roadmap
- Develop the upskilling approach for technical talent to required levels.
- Development of High Technical Potential development plans and accountable for the delivery of these plans
- Embed safe to speak up culture that empowers technical people to raise improvement opportunities.
- Translate technical solutions into story and narrative useful for Asset leadership teams.
- Establish and participate in cross BHP forums (Minerals Australia DF etc)
- Connect with the Technical, Data, Discovery and Delivery areas of the DFMinAm and global areas of BHP.
- Participate and lead problem solving at all levels regarding Technology.
- Development of processes and systems to continuously improve Technology capability across products.
- Development of standards to drive reuse and effective TTO process.
- Translate and integrate Technology strategies into the local operating environments and approaches.
- Bring outside BHP best practices and innovative solutions in Technology and tools into BHP
- Present at 1 external conference on technical content.

**About You**:

- Management skills for interdisciplinary work preferred.
- Strong leadership skills required.
- Interpret and understand status on different areas, consolidating and ensuring consistency of information.
- Ability to integrate several team’s requirements and priorities ensuring that deliverables met in the time and quality desired.
- Ability to influence several teams to implement the best improvement opportunities and leverage efforts across the different assets and functional areas.
- Operating with limited supervision and high level of autonomy
- University degree in Business & Management, Engineering or Sciences
- Availability to travel to the different locations as necessary.
- Experience & Technical Competencies

Experience in functional/operational roles
- Experience in consulting firms as senior consultant and financial analysis background preferred (desirable but not exclusionary)
- Experience in BHP investment process, governance, GLDs, BHP processes and policies (desirable but not exclusionary)

Languages
- Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
