**Position Summary**

**Responsibilities**

The Control System & Instrumentation Senior Engineer is principally responsible for:

- Leading the design and input to Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Preparing, coordinates and plans, engineering design related to the control system.
- Preparation Control Narratives, Cause and Effect Matrix, control philosophy.
- Preparing logic diagrams, functional block diagrams.
- Preparation of Field Instrumentation and valves Data Sheet in Smart Plant Instrumentation.
- Development of I/O data base for DCS and Mechanical Vendor Packages.
- Planning and coordinating work related to the design and documentation of vendor packages.
- Preparation of Instrument Index, Data Sheet, Wiring and Loop Diagrams, Loop Folders, Calculation in Smart Plant Instrumentation.
- Preparation Cable Block Diagrams.
- Development of Spec, MR, Technical Bid Evaluation and Vendor Print Review of Field Instrument Packages, Control Valves, On Off Valves, Instrument Bulks.
- Preparation of Instrument Installation Details Bulk Material Take off and assist designers in Modelling of instruments and junction boxes.
- Participation in 3D Model Review Sessions.
- Preparing, coordinates or prepares bid evaluations and award recommendations for instruments and equipment.
- Performing work using Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
- Coordinating and interfacing as directed with the day-to-day technical work of personnel.
- Communicating complex technical issues and recommends solutions to upper management. Developing conceptual designs for control systems engineering projects or projects having specialized or unique requirements.
- Reviewing and checking work of subordinate engineers.
- Preparing letters to vendors and clients.
- Supporting preparation of estimates, staffing needs, and schedules.
- Preparing or overseeing the preparation of discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget, and supporting implementation and assisting with performance reporting.
- Interpreting new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data.
- Coordinating with client representatives, as directed, to obtain their approval of the control systems aspects of the project.
- Conducting or leading special studies of control systems engineering methods, materials, and techniques.
- May evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.
- Mentoring control systems engineering personnel by providing on-the-job training for their professional development.
- Providing input to and participating in special technical education and training programs as directed.
- Working without supervision.
- Extensive latitude for judgment.

**Qualifications and Skills**

**Basic Qualifications**

The Control System & Instrumentation Senior Engineer shall be knowledgeable and/or experienced in:

- Bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) in engineering or scientific discipline, AND a minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience. Possesses either a recognized degree in electrical, electronic, automation, or similar engineering from an accredited university.
