Project Manager

Purpose of the Job

Key Responsibilities
- Guide team with best practices for compliance, safety and health.
- Plan, direct and coordinate activities to develop overall concepts for new products while solving technical programs that are preventing projects to be completed by establishing technical goals and producing detailed plan.
- Coordinating work with other managers and staff inside company
- Proposing Engineering and PDR teams budgets prospecting with actual scenario.
- Ensuring the validity of methods used by staff
- Checking their team's work for technical accuracy, included on budget and timely.
- Lead research and development projects that produce new designs, products and processes.
- Align and control the management of all project documents, including coordination of revisions and releases; control the project databases on a regular basis, guiding the PDR team to maintain all up to date.
- Ensure that team are involved and aligned to comply with company goals.
- Cost Management - If required, manage the initial cost estimation until assignment of a Project Manager to the job, ensuring that the work breakdown structure reflects accurately the projects delivered and the units costs are accurately forecasted and reported. Support the project team to review project cost performance.
- Work with sales team to develop new business focused on client prospection, best technical solution and competitive due market competitors.
- Time Management - Develop a reliable forecast execution schedule, cooperating with Sales team from the preliminary phase until assignment of a Project Manager to the job, supporting where required with definition of the baseline and tracking until completion of the project.
- Supporting operational team on running projects fitting solution to reduce plant downtime.
- Support conduction of project post-report and create recommendation in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements (Lesson Learned).
- Interaction with Local Business to support on complex projects.
- Develop manufactures of new equipment or material that can be produced locally, saving importation taxes.
- When required, direct and manager project directly starting from award of contract up to its online date (Delivery) and from off-hire date to closing (Return).
- As a manager, always be prepared to listen all members of team and encourage them for new challenges.

Person Specifications
- Bachelor’s university degree or higher
- Certification in project management methodologies would be highly advantageous for the role
- Experience on power plant commissioning and start-up.
- Experience on projects development.
- Strong familiarity with any relevant project management software & tools.
- Ability to bring project to successful completion.
- Ability to motivate, lead and drive for results.
- Fluency in English & Spanish.
