Experienced in modern web development, the **Technical Lead** demonstrates full-stack skills, are excited by an opportunity to evolve technology, and passionate about mentoring and developing up-and-coming developers. This team is an integral part of Sovos’ success as it supports multiple functions within the company to provide forecasts, pipeline and sales reporting processes, on-going support and maintenance of our business systems and data as well as they perform various ad-hoc business analyses to aid in Sovos’ goal to Solve Tax for Good.

**_ What are my responsibilities going to be, more specifically?_**- Serve as a technical mentor and coach to other software engineers.
- Lead and elevate performance of software development teams including direct reports.
- Build a collaborative partnership with our Product Management team.
- Champion a culture of code quality and continual learning and growth throughout the department.
- Conduct peer code reviews to ensure quality.
- Define & maintain design specifications and standards as well as coach others in adopting them

Integrate technology, process, test and business practices.

**What We Need From You**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field/discipline.
- Minimum of 5+ years of work experience.
- Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Skilled in software/systems architecture.
- Expert in service-oriented design principles (design patterns, REST).
- Expert in developing resilient services in C# or Java.
- Experience with Javascript front-end technologies (React, Angular JS) as a plus.
- Experience with micro service patterns as a plus.
