Design Engineer

As a Design Engineer on our team, you will be responsible for creating a cohesive and user-centered design system, as well as designing our no-code platform. This requires an understanding of user interface design principles, interaction design, and how to create persuasive user flows for our app.

**Responsibilities**
- Research_
- Analyze the needs of our target customer base: businesses and non-technical users who want to build AI-enabled products
- Research the features, benefits, and unique differentiators of our app and capture attention immediately based on the user interface
- Evaluate competitors and cross-industry trends in terms of concept, style, and key features
- Compile and document reference designs and update a reference library of UI elements and user flows from competitors
- Design System_
- Work to create a cohesive and user-centered design system that can be used across all of our products.
- Continuously improve and update the design system based on user feedback and testing.
- Product Design_
- Design user interfaces, user flows, and interactions for our app.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure designs are technically feasible and implementable.
- Continuously improve and update the app based on user feedback and testing.
- Project Management_
- Manage deadlines and coordinate with the development team on design schedules
- Document and templatize winning designs to facilitate the creation of successful concepts and formats, and spark new ideas within the team

**Requirements**:

- Technical_
- Strong understanding of user interface design principles, interaction design and user-centered design methodologies.
- Soft Skills_
- Commitment to learn, grow, and contribute to a fast-paced, result-driven team for the long term of at least 3 years.
- Low ego and thick skin. Able to take daily critical feedback constructively and iterate to build new tests. Approaches failures as an opportunity to do better.
- Passion for your craft, obsession with user experience and design systems
- Strong communication skills. Great team player
- Be efficient, complete high-quality, detailed work on time.
- Experience_
- 4+ years of professional experience in Product Design or UI/UX Design
- 4+ years of experience working with development or product teams, preferably at either consumer or enterprise software companies
- Strong portfolio of design work that have performed well whether as apps, websites or mobile apps
- Must have experience & enjoy running user testing and design split tests. Must be data-driven.
