Senior Intranet SEO Manager

LOCATION

The Senior Intranet SEO Manager will work closely with the Digital Workplace and User Experience teams to identify and resolve enterprise search and web metric challenges and explore opportunities to enable the Digital Workplace team to “measure everything.”

Specific responsibilities include:

- SEO Strategy
- In consultation with the Digital Workplace, User Experience, Global Marketing and Communication Analytics teams, strategize, design and implement:

- A SEO strategy - how do we tag everything correctly so that it can be measured. Generate keyword targeting strategies that match audience intent and result in increased matches.
- Plan and implement SEO strategies for digital workplace that includes intranet, internal social and federated systems. Digital workplace products include company intranet (SharePoint Online) Yammer, Microsoft Stream. Federated systems include Workday, ServiceNow and Salesforce.
- Provide recommendations on key SEO KPIs
- Identification of website tagging needs, search optimization needs and social usage.
- Offer SEO and CMS optimization advice and implementation recommendations to website owners based upon google analytics data.
- Reporting of Metrics
- Develop business insights based on user analysis and campaign results, and communicate key findings to various stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to extract raw data, provide analysis in narrative form (tell a story with the data) and provide recommendations and actionable items content owners.
- Prepare and present reports regularly (state of the state, reports on campaign sites, file usage, demonstrate traffic, matches, search effectiveness and overall search experience, etc.) to Digital Workplace team, executives and business partners across the global enterprise.
- Monitor redirects, click rate, bounce rate and other KPIs
- Develop digital dashboards and reports in DOMO to track and analyze metrics related to organic traffic performance, website usage, visitor behavior, search usage, and other KPIs. Help with the maintenance, design, and development of dashboards and custom reports that align with primary business drivers (SEO, CMS, Conversions)
- Leverage Search Logs / Usage Logs to support content management, help guide content archival process, perform gap analysis and communicate with customers
- Create presentations/reports for Director, Sr. Manager, UX, VP, Experience Design, and business.
- Create information and insights from data to inform SEO as well as influence content management, navigation, video and social integration and retirement of content with a focus on usability for enterprise employees.
- Product Management
- Maintain knowledge and expertise in metrics and SSO industry, staying current with latest search engine algorithm updates and features. Monitor market trends and recommend appropriate strategies and actions to pre-empt or respond. Identify areas of opportunity as well as problems or shortcomings that may jeopardize team, search and site goals.
- Work collaboratively with a team of SEO and content strategy professionals to achieve business goals within the scope of digital workplace.
- Provide support, training, and guidance on product functionality and business best practices related to Enterprise Search and Web Metrics (key words, related content, boosting, metadata, content tagging, file properties, HTML format, etc.), work closely with content management, web development and business teams to improve search results based on company initiatives, user demographics and overall growth of the enterprise.
- Ensure SEO and CMS analytics capabilities are correctly defined, integrated into the sites and preserved during site upgrades and migrations.
- Web analytics user management, training of other team members to use analytics in their roles, tag management, and search reporting management.
Partner closely with the Digital Workplace, User Experience and Web Development team in order to enhance the search user experience, support web and analytics evolution and help to instill analytics mindset on the team.
- Effectively communicate strategic recommendations to executives, senior leadership, business partners and project partners.
- Project Management Activities
- Responsible for day-to-day search and metrics support.
- May be asked to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities. Evaluates project requests with business partners to determine benefits, and feasibility and determines project priorities for presentation to management for approval. Works closely with global branch and corporate users, UX team, digital workplace team, web development team and other team members.
