Research Associate Electromechanical

**Description**:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated **_Electromechanical maintainer_** to join our **_Research and Development facility at Arica, Chile._**
- Implement the Electromechanical Preventive Maintenance Plan for all equipments, machinery and electrical components of the Site
- Lead, coordinate and monitor maintenance activities, ensuring: these activities are executed according to the Preventive Maintenance Plan, every machine and piece of equipment are available for timely use, and best maintenance practices are implemented.
- Ensure support for the implementation of new infrastructure-machinery/assets, through the availability of resources and coordination of activities needed for the electric requirements of the Project.
- Plan and track critical spare parts inventory and availability; ensuring the operation without lack of parts or stops due delay on parts accessibility.
- Help with budget preparation and tracking of resources for areas under own responsibility.
- Responsible for the staff daily operations (Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines, electrical panels, and equipment)
- Implement technical and maintenance strategy for all the electric, electronic, electromechanical equipment and components of the Seedhandling program.
- Supervise contractors to perform specific task and process of the electrical requirements of the site.
- Lead the electrical standards implementation, and the following execution of the site.
- Keep safety politics aligned with their team.
- Lead and supervise the team in charge, establishing goals and objectives aligned with the site's strategy.
- Monitor and evaluate the individual and collective performance of the team, providing constructive feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
- Identify the training and development needs of the team.

**Qualifications**:

- Electrical, electromechanical, electronic engineer degree
- SEC electrical installer authorization class B or C is required.
- 4 years experience on and equipment evaluation and electromechanical maintenance
- Field & warehouse work (60%) and office work (40%). Exposition to field machinery work
- Ability to establish, monitor, and provide feedback on objective performance criteria
- Require excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan and prioritize request of internal customers or stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Databases and Outlook)
- Driver´s license
- Intermediate/High level of written and spoke English is a plus
