**Position summary**:
The Risk Prevention Specialist’s duty is to supervise, manage and document the correct execution of the work to be performed onsite according to National Regulations and Corporate Safety Standards:

- To prevent any risk of harm to the company’s workers, clients and subcontractors;
- To minimize any risk of damage to the client’s installation;

The Risk Prevention Specialist will contribute to the continuity of the work onsite by managing and updating safety protocols and documentation requirements.

The Risk Prevention Specialist work takes place at Concentration Plants within Mining Sites, often, in remote locations, and with high geographical altitude (between 3,000 and 5,500 meters above sea level). Physical exams to access mining sites are mandatory. Therefore, the Risk Prevention Specialist is required to maintain good physical condition throughout his employment.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**:

- Elaborate a comprehensive project specific start-up binder;
- Advise the site manager, engineers, supervisors and technicians on safety practices, occupational health and risks;
- Train, inform and update the site personnel on best safety practices and the risks associated with each task;
- Supervise that each company worker and sub-contractors uses the required PPE in the appropriate manner;
- Conduct internal audits and prepare reports on the company’s and their subcontractors' safety procedures;
- Register all site incidents, update the risk matrix and list all associated critical risks;
- Analyze different scenarios corresponding to onsite occupational hazards in order to identify and mitigate possible risks;
- Lead and participate in project specific and site safety meetings.

**Requirements**:

- Three (3) Years Experience experience as a Risk Prevention Specialist working for the mining industry;
- Risk Prevention Engineering degree granted by a recognized university;
- Fluent in Spanish, written and verbal;
- Professional level of English, written and verbal;
- Able to pass the physical exam requirements in order to work in High Geographical Altitude. (Between 3,000 Meters and 5,500 Meters Above Sea Level);
- Availability to travel 50% of the time on a short notice;
- The main working language within the team is English.
