**Operations and Logistics Specialist (OLS) Ver-081922**

Vanguard Electric, LLC (VE), a North American company, seeks a highly creative, organized and active person, with experience in logistic operations and (international and domestic ), order processing and purchasing procedures for the post of Operations and Logistics Coordinator.

**Mission and Job Description**

Support the Operations and Logistics Department on all duties related to International and Domestic Logistics, order processing and management and purchasing (domestic and international).

**Description of main functions**

The OLS has the following main functions that are listed in a referential way but **are no** limitation to any other reasonable task as required by the company.
- **PURCHASE AND IMPORTS RELATED**
- Based on the information contained in the Import Budget Sheets developed by the Operations and Logistics Manager (OLM) generate purchase order drafts in VE’s accounting system.
- Follow up on the approval process for all purchase orders ( approval process as defined in VE’s procedure manuals) and make sure that the OLM sends the approved orders to the designated vendors.
- Properly tag and File all relevant information related to purchase orders. This process must be always current (information generated one day must be filed before the end of the same day)
- Assist the OLM in keeping control of International and domestic purchase orders to make sure that VE receives the correct products and materials as needed and as planed. Getting confirmation from vendors, following up on all purchase order deadlines and making sure that all issues, questions, etc. are resolved by the appropiate people inside VE or by its vendors.
- Assist with all clerical work related to International Logistics operations and import status reporting to other company users.
- **ORDER ENTRY - ORDER MANAGEMENT**
- Make sure that the Inside Sales team provides complete and clear information to enter an order into VE’s system.
- Generate in VE’s accounting system drafts of all Purchase Orders received from the Sales Department for processing.
- Get necessary approvals to the Sales Orders (as defined in VE’s procedures).
- Deliver approved Sales Orders (SO) to the Inside Sales Engineer responsible for the SO for them to distribute to VE’s agents or customers.
- Generate Drafts of Invoices and Packing Slips for the Operations and Logistics - Assistant Manager - OLM to review and approve.
- Assist the OLM on invoicing freight to customers.
- Properly tag and file all the information and documents related to a SO from the time it is generated to the time it ships (invoice). Files must be current.
- Assist the OLM on Inventory management and control.

**Reporting to**
- The OLS reports to the Operations and Logistics Manager.

**Location**
- Remote working from any location that has appropriate (good quality) internet and communications.

**Travel**
- No travel required

**Professional and Technical Requirements**
- Associate Degree in Business Administration, logistics or similar.
- English 100%. Other languages considered a plus.
- Experience in handling purchasing, International logistics, supply chain and order management.
- Productivity software domain (EXCEL, Word, etc.)

Pay: $944,000 per month
