Metso is a global leader in Flotation Technology, offering a wide range of equipment and services to support our customers’ projects. We are preparing to introduce a new Flotation Technology for coarse particle flotation that will significantly impact the mineral processing plants of the future. Related to that we have signed a contract to deliver a coarse particle demonstration plant to illustrate the operation of technology.
This is a strategic project for Metso Flotation Product group, and therefore we are looking for a Site Manager to ensure the success of the project.
Fix Term for 6 months
As a Site Manager, you will oversee the delivery of our new Coarse Particle Flotation technology demo plant for Las Cenizas copper plant in Chile. You will be responsible for day-to-day discussions with the customer and act as a link between the customer and Metso Product Group experts. Position is assignment type, temporary for 6 months.
Your key ccountabilities and responsibilities are
- Be present on site for the duration of the project.
- Maintain daily communication and coordination of activities with the customer to ensure project alignment and address any concerns or issues.
- Together with Project manager, help to oversee the project timeline, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables are on schedule.
- Arrange and provide technical support and guidance on the Coarse Particle Flotation technology.
- Regularly update internal teams on project progress, challenges, and customer feedback.
- Facilitate training sessions for the customer on the new technology.

The location is Chile.
Who you are
- You have proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably within mineral processing plants.
- You have technical knowledge of flotation process and technology.
- Fluency in Spanish and English are mandatory.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- You have positive attitude and strong teamwork skills to work in an international, multi-location organization.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in minerals processing, metallurgy, or a related field.
