**Role and Responsibilities**:
As an ElasticSearch Engineer at Lilo AI, you will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and optimizing ElasticSearch solutions that power our AI-driven procurement platform. You will design and maintain scalable search infrastructure capable of handling complex queries on dynamic datasets to support our diverse client base. Collaboration will be key as you work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced search capabilities, including faceted search, autocomplete, and semantic search features directly into the product.

Your role includes monitoring and troubleshooting search performance, ensuring low latency and high relevance of results. You will continuously improve search algorithms by exploring and implementing state-of-the-art natural language processing and vector embedding techniques. Staying current with new technologies and best practices in search architecture, particularly within large-scale and marketplace-like systems, will be critical to your success.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with ElasticSearch in production environments, particularly within eCommerce or marketplace settings.
- Deep understanding of search architecture principles, including indexing strategies, analyzers, tokenization, and ranking algorithms to ensure optimized and relevant search results.
- Proven experience integrating ElasticSearch into distributed, containerized systems at scale.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript to build and maintain search services.
- Familiarity with Docker for containerized deployment and management of search infrastructure.
- Experience or strong interest in semantic search, natural language processing (NLP), and vector embeddings is highly desirable.
- Fluent English or Spanish communication skills (C1 or C2 level), both written and spoken, to collaborate effectively with the global team.
- Availability to work aligned with the US East Coast time zone to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive ownership mindset with robust problem-solving abilities, capable of taking features from conceptualization through deployment independently.
