Process Control and Operational Technology Engineer

**Your future role on our team**

As a versatile Process Control and Operational Technology Engineer in the Santiago Chile Office, you will be responsible of project execution, in conceptual, design, construction, commissioning, and operational phases for our clients in the Power, Industrial and Mining sectors. You will have a great autonomy in the execution of the mandates and will eventually be the technical lead of a small team of professionals in the execution of the projects.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for aligning OT needs with IT solutions, multitasking on several projects simultaneously, and developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships. You should possess an analytical mind, with excellent problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness, as well as a positive attitude and client-oriented approach. You must be rigorous in respecting deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. In addition, you should be able to structure and lead meetings with multidisciplinary and multilevel stakeholders and follow up with clients effectively.

- Prepare technical deliverables aligned with our clients’ requirements, ensure high quality and technical compliance
- Perform site inspections, testing and commissioning at client sites, locally and abroad
- Manage project work packages including preparing budget and schedule, and tracking deliverable progress
- Prepare proposals including scoping, cost estimate and schedule
- Participate in business development activities locally to help generate opportunities in your field of expertise.

**Overview of certifications and job requirements**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Automation, or Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in an consulting engineering firm
- Practical experience with instrumentation, control, automation, or communication systems.
- Practical experience with programming languages such as.Net, Python, and PLC programming.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish), both spoken and written, ability to draft technical documents in both languages.
- Have relevant experience in the Chilean mining industry.
- Ability to adapt in an agile environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Teamwork on a regular basis with our Canadian engineers on projects.
- Available to travel to client sites in Chile for assignments.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
