Senior Process Engineer

**The Company**
Globe 24-7 in partnership with a key client in South America, is working together to source a highly capable and motivated professional to join the Glencore Copper Project LATAM team.

**The Role**
We’re looking for an outstanding Senior Process Engineer ready to be part of a small team of qualified professionals. This role would suit someone with strong experience in operations, engineering, and EPCM projects for base or precious metals processing units combined with study management (scoping, pre-feasibility, feasibility, and trade-offs) for copper, precious, and base metals concentrators. The Process Engineer is responsible for delivering exceptional results through engineering solutions and project management; and shall seek ingenious solutions in the sectors of energy, environment and sustainability, minerals and metals, infrastructure, process, and project management.

**The Responsibilities**

- Metallurgical Testing:

- Review and analyse project requirements,
- Prepare scope of work, bidding, and evaluation of metallurgical laboratory proposals,
- Supervise and control all metallurgical laboratory testing work (could be outside Chile),
- Analyse data and issue recommendations.
- Prepare/review third-party metallurgical reports.
- Plan, develop, coordinate, and review engineering work within the engineering group, as well as with other groups in the owner’s group (environmental, project controls, contracts, etc.).
- Review and approve key engineering drawings and calculations; review bid summaries (letters of recommendation.
- Where applicable, mentor engineers and designers, providing job-appropriate training for their professional development.
- Promote the creation of a work environment, with management support, that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.
- Thorough knowledge in the development of metallurgical material balances, process flowsheets, and P&IDs. Ideally know how to work with simulation software such as METSIM, JKSimMet and others.
- General technical knowledge of concentrator circuits and ability to develop calculations for the sizing of the equipment that makes up each of the circuits of a copper concentrator.
- Finished knowledge of project engineering (determination of CapEx and OpEx, economic evaluation).
- Knowledge of precedents in the discipline, knowledge of process engineering principles and practices.
- Extensive knowledge of codes and standards as well as design criteria relevant to metallurgical process engineering.
- Ability to review metallurgical process schedules and designs.
- Experience in budgeting, resource management, and planning.

**The Requirements**
- Ability to work as a member of a project team to provide data analysis and engineering support for metallurgical and process problems.
- Ability to act as a representative of the principal to a project team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Have experience creating and delivering technical presentations and demonstrated report-writing skills.
- Ability to cope with and manage change when dealing with projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Motivated and empowered, able to work under mínimal supervision and handle multiple tasks at the same time.
- Results-oriented with excellent organization, planning, and technical decision-making.
- More than **15** years of related experience.
- Previous experience operating plants in large copper concentrators is desirable.
- Professional engineering degree with a specialization in mineral processing.
- Preferred fluency in English and Spanish.
