Role Summary / Purpose

The Contract & Operations Specialist is responsible for the creation and ensuring compliance for our contract and proposal process for the Wabtec Digital Electronics, Transport Logistics product line in North America. The Contract & Operations Specialist proactively leads cross-functional teams’ inputs in the development of winning proposals, and clear and concise contracts. The Contract & Operations Specialist will be experienced in proposal document production and delivery, contract development, market level pricing and customer negotiations.

Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Contract & Operations Specialist, you will:

- Proactively coordinate and lead the contract and proposal development tasks across multi-functional teams that meets applicable deadlines for the Transport Logistics business.
- Be responsible for compliance of pricing for new and renewal contracts.
- Manage the contract cancellation process and coordinate with billing and sales.
- Work cross functionally with billing and sales to clearly communicate contract pricing for billing readiness.
- Write clear contract summaries in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Effectively identify and communicate potential proposal, contract, and execution risks to raise for approvals.
- Once annually, coordinate pricing adjustment notification letters to be sent to customer client base.
- Interface successfully and comfortably with different functional groups, including Sales, Product Management, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, Contracts, and Engineering.
- Lead the coordination of the contract review/edit process to collect input from a variety of cross-functional stakeholders.
- Attend customer meetings and/or conferences and participate on customer calls with Sales as needed.

Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or a Technical field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in contract or project management, preferably in software, IT, or signaling.
- Excellent technical and commercial writing and reading comprehension skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong time management / prioritization skills.
- Manages tasks effectively from start to finish.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Suite of Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Desired Characteristics
- Experience managing deals with multi-functional interactions.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within the Transportation Industry and or contract management or project management.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple individual and team responsibilities for multiple projects.
- Capability to communicate with high-level management.
- Leading in a complex, matrixed environment with experience managing multiple deadlines.
- Ability to simplify complex scenarios to logical strategies/positions.
- Strong financial acumen.

Eligibility Requirements
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
- Willing to travel up to 5% of time.
