Genai Engineer

**Position Overview**:
At Blue Orange, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, leveraging modern machine-learning and AI techniques to deliver tangible business outcomes and drive innovation in our data-driven solutions.

This is a full-time fully remote position for Latin American-based applicants within +/- 2 hours of Eastern Standard Time Zones (NYC). Resume must demonstrate professional English ability.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design GenAI solutions that address complex challenges.
- Evaluate and select appropriate algorithms and methodologies to solve specific problems and optimize performance.
- Lead the refinement and iteration of prompt engineering techniques to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of GenAI systems.
- Implement scalable and efficient data pipelines to process and transform raw data into usable inputs for AI models.
- Experiment with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) approaches to improve the relevance and coherence of AI-generated outputs.
- Work closely with software engineers and AI researchers to integrate prompt engineering and RAG components into production systems and ensure seamless deployment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in prompt engineering, RAG, data science, machine learning, and AI technologies, and explore innovative approaches to enhance GenAI capabilities.

**Requirements**:

- Experience with NLP and LLM-based technologies and frameworks.
- Experience with prompt engineering techniques and experience in refining and iterating on prompts for AI models.
- Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) methodologies and experience in implementing RAG-based approaches for text generation tasks.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PySpark, and SQL.
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
- Experience working with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Passion for AI and a desire to contribute to the advancement of GenAI technologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Self-driven and autonomous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- 2+ years of industry experience as a hands-on practitioner of machine learning engineering, and proven experience with GenAI systems.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Publications in relevant AI/ML communities and journals.
- Experience Fine-tuning OpenSource LLMs and deploying them.
- MLFlow, etc. a plus.

**Salary**: USD $4750 - $6375 (monthly salary range)
