**About Us**: Levita Magnetics is a pioneering medical technology company dedicated to minimizing the impact of surgery by reducing incisions in laparoscopic procedures. We collaborate with both public and private healthcare centers in Chile and the United States to enhance patient outcomes through our innovative Magnetic Surgery® platform.

**Role Overview**: We are seeking a junior AI Engineer to join our team in Santiago, Chile. In this on-site role, you will be responsible for building, testing and deploying AI proprietary and open medical AI models on edge, working closely with our software and data engineering teams, as well as the clinical team. Your expertise will contribute to the advancement of our surgical technologies aimed at reducing surgical invasiveness.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Cleaning and curation of surgical images and videos for AI model ingestion
- Train, evaluate and document AI model performance, identifying edge cases, domain transfer cost and assessing the real-world impact of these
- Testing/Fine-tuning of VLMs
- Create AI processing pipelines using Nvidia technologies such as Holoscan, NeMo, VILA, among others
- Deploy AI models on edge ARM platforms
- Works in compliance with the company’s Quality Manual and SOPs.
- Monitors and reports activities and status to management.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Masters's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI or a equivalent experience.
- Strong programming skills in C++, python and experience with Linux-based systems.
- Comfortable working with surgical images and related medical data.
- English proficiency at a B2 level or higher.
- Experience in deep learning-based computer vision.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with Edge computing and ARM platforms.
- Prior experience in classical computer vision.
- Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations, particularly in the healthcare sector.

**Location**: This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Providencia, Santiago, Chile office.

Pay: $1,800,000 - $2,400,000 per month
