**Preferred Qualifications and Experiences**
Bachelor Degree in Physical Education required.- A minimum of 1-3 years of teaching experience.
- Certified in lifesaving, first aid, and CPR
- High level of English and Spanish proficiency required.

**Skills and Abilities**
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Dbnet with database experience.- Experience with iOS (Mac) platform.
- Experience in the use of spreadsheets, word processing, and Powerpoint presentations.
- Ability to connect with K to 12 aged children and have an understanding of their
- developmental needs- Ability to differentiate instruction with diverse learning needs
- Ability to perform administrative support functions requiring independent judgment,
- decision making, and problem solving.- Commitment to familiarize oneself with Aquatics programming, philosophies, requirements
- and schedules in order to answer inquiries regarding scheduling times, and other details.- Great organizational skills and ability to multitask in sometimes stressful situations
- Strong communications skills (in English and Spanish) and knowledge to prepare, maintain
- and coordinate communications with team members, administration and parents.- Be creative and open minded
- Have initiative
- Equal parts self-starter and team player

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Oversee and ensure the pool and pool deck are clean and safe, and ensure that the facility is

in good order
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of all swim programs and open swims.
- Take part and/or provide in-service opportunities
- Report to the Aquatics Coordinator and Athletic Director regarding any repairs or other
- maintenance needs.- Maintain a safe environment by enforcing the pool rules.
- Support the School and its administrators in any related activities
- Maintain your physical conditioning as it relates to swimming and water safety
- Together with the Aquatics Coordinator, organize, coordinate and set up all swim meets or
- activities during and after regular school hours. (i.e community events, clubs events, etc.)- Assist in weekend Aquatics events when needed
- Assist in the research and ordering of pool equipment
- Assist in maintaining an updated equipment inventory
- Assist in administrative tasks, including filing payment requisitions, warehouse orders,

contacting and coordinating substitutes for aquatics programs, assisting in chaperone
guidelines and similar tasks
- In cooperation with PE staff, review and update the K-12 curriculum when required. Provide

adequate written and visual resources for the PE staff to improve their understanding of the
different components of the Aquatics program.
- Attend weekly planning meetings focused on curriculum and pedagogy
- Assist and act as reference person for the PE staff in regards to the Nido Aquatics program
- Assist with the order of adequate age appropriate equipment for the K-12 PE program
- needs.- Provide accurate records for assessment of student learning
- Deliver K to 12 grade PE swimming lessons
- Prepare lesson plans when needed
- Provide accurate records for assessment of student learning
- Maintain safety standards at all times and report any accidents or incidents to the Aquatics

and/or Athletics Directors
