Customer Engineer, Infrastructure Modernization

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role.
- Experience in data center architectures and components.

Preferred qualifications:

- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience with public cloud platforms (e.g., infrastructure, storage, and platforms).
- Experience with deployment methodologies and technologies (e.g., continuous integration and continuous delivery/continuous deployment (CI/CD), Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.).
- Experience in advanced security (e.g., authentication protocols, identity/access management systems, etc.).

You will work with the Sales team to introduce Google Cloud to our customers. You'll help prospective/existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, and problem-solve potential technical roadblocks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Inspire customers and peers to solve problems with novel solutions, leveraging technical competences.
- Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities and customer technical objections. Develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers.
- Manage technical relationships with customers, including managing product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of additional technical resources.
- Work with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments.
- Recommend migration tools and strategies, enterprise architectures, and the cloud infrastructure required to implement complete solutions, using best practices.
