**What we're looking for**

The Senior Accounting Specialist - Accounts Payable (Latam) position is responsible for reviewing and processing global outgoing payments to vendors and owners accurately and timely._ _This role will work with internal stakeholders and external customers focused on providing a great experience. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced, ambiguous, and high growth environment who is ready to influence decisions that will impact processes.

**What You'll Do**:

- Monitor local treasury mail inbox and slack and respond within SLA
- Research and respond to internal and external inquiries related to payments with a high degree of professionalism
- Download and manage necessary proof of payments and remittances
- Process a variety of payments in multiple systems such as our ERP, Coupa, internal property management system (Admin), and banking systems.
- Aggregate and provide accurate and necessary information to request funding to ensure timely payments
- Review vendor and owner agings and reconcile statements and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate payments
- Uphold and ensure compliance to corporate policies, SOX, and operational controls
- Daily review and oversight of operational accounts to support business activities
- Participate in monthly close activities and audits as necessary
- Establish and prepare metrics and management reporting
- Challenge the status quo and proposes solutions to enhance and streamline processes

**Skills you'll need**
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or experience equivalent
- Spanish and English speaker
- Knowledge about payments and reconciliations
- Problem solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to work within deadlines and operate effectively in a matrixed organization
- Experience using NetSuite is a plus
- Experience using banking platforms
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- 3+ years relevant AP and Payments experience required; hospitality industry highly preferred
