Street Diligence is a high-growth FinTech start-up with an innovative product offering and ambitious expansion plans. Our clients include leading financial institutions that use our platform to analyze and negotiate advantageous terms in legal and financial contracts. We break down key terms, identify what’s “market” and “off-market” and flags risks embedded in contract terms. Our platform also provides unique visuals, benchmarking and comparison to place negotiations and contracts in context. Founded in 2012, Street Diligence is headquartered in New York.

**THE ROLE**

Street Diligence is looking for an** Accountant** to join our team. This role will be remote-based, and will work with the CFO to prepare and automate various financial reports. This role will post and ensure proper classifications for all accounting transactions such as:

- Vendor Upload
- Accounts payable
- Accounts Receivable Invoices
- Cash Receipts
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Accrued Expenses
- Prepaid Expenses
- Accrued Interest
- Bank accounts (daily)
- Accrued Commissions
- Accrued Incentives
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Sales Tax Payable
- Ensure P&L by class is correctly posted
- Ensure employee expenses are correctly coded by account and class
- File monthly sales tax returns with appropriate states
- Publish accounting financial statements

**WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE**
- Work experience as an Accountant
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Experience with general ledger functions and monthly closing process
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- BS in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree

**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Additional certification (CPA) is a plus
- Fluent in Spanish is a plus
