Senior Director, Legal**
Job Summary**:
We are seeking a senior legal professional who has experience working with U.S. companies and has the desire to work with an impressive team of leaders, who have the ability to influence the long-term growth and sustainability of an organization. While this role reports up to our General Counsel in the United States, this person will serve as General Counsel for the Santiago-Chile operation. As part of our Legal team, this person will be working on a variety of corporate, commercial and regulatory legal matters with a focus on EVO’s business in Chile.

**Essential Job Functions**:
Drive solid business decisions that contribute to the enterprise organizational goals.

Review, translate and negotiate, commercial contracts for EVO’s Santiago - Chile operations
Oversee corporate governance matters, including board meetings and materials
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and interact with regulators, as needed
Hands on corporate law practitioner
Work in partnership with external counsel to oversee compliance and regulatory matters
Assist with strategic transactions and M&A activity as needed
Working through business matters, in Chile, Mexico and other LATAM countries as we continue to grow.

Identify individual country legal needs, and liaise with external legal advisors developing a network of outside counsel if/when appropriate

**Position Requirements**:
Juris Doctorate from a top law school

Member in good standing within the legal community
Reading, writing and conversational expertise in English that can work across country borders

5-12 years of corporate legal experience
In-house experience a plus but not required
Payments or financial industry is desirable, but not required
Experience making decisions in a fast-paced environment required
Work independently while also contributing to a cross-functional team required
A people person with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and strategic skills;
Ability to drive issues to a quick resolution that factors in many non-legal variables, such as business and financial risk
High degree of professional ethics and integrity
Ability to anticipate legal issues or risks and to build the processes and systems to

**Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities**:
Fully bilingual (English & Spanish)
Strong analytical, writing and communication skills
Ability to interface successfully with senior leaders

Ability to handle multiple projects and matters comprehensively and with great attention to detail
Excellent business judgment and the ability to assess and advise on legal risks
Team player with the ability to work with all levels of the organization

Ability to manage and mentor team members
